Sarasota Outreach Report…and a Sneak Peek
An Evening at the Fairgrounds Wrapped Up!
“If you are in Sarasota this week, join us! If you are not able, would you please pray for the event? We are counting on a large audience that will be generous in both their donations and participation in the auction. I know that it will be a great evening, and I would ask for prayer for 1,000 people to show up to learn about For One Life.”
This paragraph was from my February email in the weeks leading up to the event at the Sarasota Fairgrounds on February 16th. Because this was a free event and there were several ways to get into the concert area, it’s difficult to put a final number on the attendance. Our best estimate was that between 850 and 1,000 were at the fairgrounds between 4 and 9pm. Thank you for your prayerful support of our second year of outreach to Sarasota!
Here are some thoughts from some who were serving in Sarasota this year:
“The For One Life event at the Fairgrounds in Sarasota was a wonderful time, with close to 1,000 people showing up for food, fellowship, music and the auction. The easy access from the Legacy Trail was a huge blessing and very helpful. It was a great privilege to work alongside Chris, Darcy and Michael and once again we say with For One Life’s Motto: I am Only One, but I am One. I cannot do everything, but I refuse to do nothing.” – John & Lydia Esh
“What a great evening we had in Sarasota, Florida on Thursday the 16th! The weather was perfect for an outdoor dinner and concert event. For dinner, we served grilled sausage sandwiches with sides, ice cream and whoopie pies. I told someone that normally at an event of this size you need car parkers, but this time we needed bike parkers! There were more than 350 pedal bikes!” -Merv King
“What an amazing night of good food, fellowship, auction and great music for all, thank you all who participated in helping make this evening a great fundraising event for FOL ministry already looking forward to next year February 22 ,2024. SAVE THE DATE!” – Dave Esh

Now for the Sneak Peek…
Exciting things are in the planning stages for a new project in the US that will support the ministry in India. This will also be in the March newsletter and also details will be in my April email blast as well. It is a great new opportunity proposed by Darcy Straka who started talking about this project a year ago in Sarasota!
